On a trolley line to take you other places ifyou did not have a car. The Hotel was in a very popular part of the strip close to lots ofrestaurants and shopping. It's got a perfect little beach, pool, walking distance to shops andfood, we could hear the live music from Shepards resort next door,balcony view of the beach/ocean (even saw dolphins!). Plenty to do on the main strip at night! Would stay there agin! Thanks. The room was very Clean & all you needed to enjoy your stay. Several entertainment venues and restaurants were close by and a real bonus for a fun vacation.
We enjoyed the view of the gulf from the balcony and the convenience of a kitchenette in the room made our stay real confortable. There was some loud music next door at a beach party - but it toned down early. My daughter and I only there one night to stay at beach - but it was nice. Friendly, easy to find, nice pool and hot tub. A great value for those who desire a clean confortable room and lots of places to walk to and a GREAT beach and view. Music and good restaurants within walking distance. you could walk along the beach and view a wonderful sunset. location on the beach where there was lots of wildlife and friendly people. We ended up with a room on the fith floor with anexcellent view from balcony. The guy at the front dest was a sweetheart and did hisbest to accomodate me. When Iarrived I was given a ground floor room. Great place totake kids as long as its not spring break gets a little crazy on thebeach but a perfect little private beach to relax!!. We had a great time at the hotel!! I will definatley go back there if Igo to clearwater beach florida again, best price on the beach and plentyof things to do on vacation. The staff were very friendly, very accomodating. i contacted the front desk and explained and they said no problem. i had to wait for a tow truck and couldnt shower due to me missing the tow trucks call. The morning of my departure my car rental had a flat tire, and the hotel let me check out late. all reviews » i stayed at the hotel due to a death in my family, the gulf hotel let me check in early, which was great becasue we were exhausted from the traveling. It was within walkingdistance to clubs, shopping, convenience store etc.We had friends visitus for the day and the desk clerk informed us you can buy a parking passfor no more than $20 from either of the neighboring hotels even if youare not stayi. Thanks for the ruined vacation memories.I will say I was a bit concerned about how our stay was gonna be afterreading some of the review but we were pleasantly surprised afterchecking in. May you be treated with the same disrespect that you showed us. Who we have nicknamed Nick Cardilldo, which fits him to a tee.
My wifes memories are ruined and can not be repaired, thanks to this sorry *** manager. If this hotel was not closing I would not recomend it to anyone who wants to have a memorable vacation. He has no people skills and is a sorry excuse as a manager. If my wife had not insisted that we stay and finish our trip, I would have canceled the rest of our stay at this hotel and took my business elsewhere. An apology would have gone a long way, but I guess that he does not have this in him. Should have just decked him and at least felt better. The manager was a very rude individual and is a sorry excuse for a human, does not have an ounce of compassion or any customer relations skills at all. The Ice machine only worked 2 of the 7 days that we were there. Hotel restaurant was closed all week long, that was nice. Most likely cause they have sold the property and no longer care if there are complaints. : The hotel could use some up keep, it is somewhat run down.
The food at the restaurant was good, when it was open. The girls on the front desk were helpfull. Traveller Type: young couple : The view and the beach were very nice.
